In early January 2026, a significant milestone was recorded at the construction site of the future Silleno polyethylene plant — 2 million man-hours without lost-time injury (LTI). This achievement reflects the total volume of safe work performed by all project participants, including contractors and subcontractors, throughout the construction period.

“Behind this achievement are hundreds of daily decisions, a caring attitude toward one another, and a shared understanding that safety begins with personal responsibility. We thank the entire project team and our partners for their discipline and high level of safety culture. At Silleno, we are consistently building a system in which risk prevention, compliance with standards, and care for people are unconditional priorities. We will maintain this approach throughout all stages of construction,” said Mukhtar Avutbayev, General Director.

Construction works are currently underway on two key process units — pyrolysis and polymerization, as well as on utilities, infrastructure and offsite (UI&O) facilities. More than 1,100 specialists and around 330 units of equipment are involved in construction activities.
