On August 21, the plant was visited by the Silleno team, represented by General Director Mukhtar Avutbayev and Technical Director Sergei Smirnov. During the visit, they reviewed the production status of the columns and key elements for the pyrolysis unit.
Production at the plant’s facilities has already commenced on:
- A Quench Tower weighing 700 tons and measuring 51 meters in height;
- An Ethylene Fractionator weighing 1,470 tons and standing 101 meters tall.
Both units will form part of the pyrolysis complex — the most critical stage in polyethylene production. Current progress on the order has already surpassed 50%.
In addition, AtyrauNefteMash will manufacture another key component for the pyrolysis unit — a deaerator, designed to remove dissolved gases from water in the treatment system.
It should be noted that in September 2024, during the forum in support of local manufacturers, the EPC contractor of the pyrolysis unit — the consortium of Tecnicas Reunidas and Sinopec Engineering Incorporation signed a cooperation agreement with AtyrauNefteMash. As a result, an order was placed for the production of large-scale equipment for the future plant.
