As part of the Silleno polyethylene plant construction project, the second intake of the TRaiming the Future educational programme, implemented by Tecnicas Reunidas (TR), the EPC contractor for the pyrolysis unit, has officially commenced.<\/p>\n
Starting from 1 July 2026, 31 students from Kazakhstan’s leading technical universities began a six-month training programme. The participants were selected by Tecnicas Reunidas through a multi-stage competitive process involving 140 applicants. The group includes students from Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan-British Technical University (KBTU), Satbayev University, Safi Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA), and Yessenov University. Of the 31 participants, 15 are students of the Safi Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas.<\/p>\n
The programme consists of two stages: theoretical and practical training. During the first three months, participants will complete online courses before travelling to the Tecnicas Reunidas headquarters in Madrid for an internship. The future engineers will study the principles of delivering international EPC projects and receive training in key engineering<\/p>\n
disciplines under the guidance of the company’s specialists. The programme is fully funded by Tecnicas Reunidas.<\/p>\n
The first intake has already demonstrated excellent results: all 31 students completed the programme, and 22 graduates received job offers from Tecnicas Reunidas. Today, some of these young professionals are working on the Silleno polyethylene plant construction project in Atyrau, while others have joined the company’s headquarters in Madrid.<\/p>\n
Over the four-year implementation period, the programme is expected to train more than 120 young Kazakh engineers, providing them with practical experience in line with international standards and enabling them to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s petrochemical industry.<\/p>\n
