According to preliminary calculations, the main shipments of oversized and heavy equipment for the future polyethylene production plant are expected to come from the EU, China, South Korea, and Kazakhstan.
This was reported by Almas Tagibekov, External Logistics Manager at Silleno LLP, during the industry forum PetroLogistics, Rental & Transportation – 2025 in Atyrau.
He also provided detailed information on the types of transport and Kazakh ports that will be involved in unloading the equipment, noting that one of the challenges in transporting such large cargoes is the dredging work necessary to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the equipment.
The event focused on logistics issues within the oil and gas industry. The forum brought together representatives from key industry ministries, oil and gas companies, Kazakhstan Temir Joly (KTJ), pipeline operators, seaports, Kazakh companies, and many others.
