September 2024: Engineering preparation works have commenced as part of the polyethylene production project implementation – 92 units of specialized equipment and 127 personnel mobilized on site by Kazakhstani company BI Industrial.
January 2025: The actual progress of engineering preparation is at 32%, significantly ahead of the planned target of 22%.
Vertical planning works for the pyrolysis and polymerization unit areas, as well as the logistics complex, have been completed.
These works included:
● Topsoil stripping – 2.6 million m²
● Earthworks – 510 thousand m³
● Backfilling – 476 thousand m³
Earthworks and backfilling continue in the general plant facilities area.
Technical specifications for energy resources (electricity, water supply) have been obtained.
As part of this phase, the construction of internal and external roads is also planned.
Once engineering preparation is complete, the site will be handed over to EPC contractors in a fully operational state.

This is a set of construction site preparation works that ensure the required terrain and structural stability. It includes stages such as removal of the topsoil, earthworks (excavation and soil movement), multi-layer compaction of the base, leveling, and slope formation.
